Ruff Ahders earned a B.A. from Stanford University in 1964 and attended law school at the University of Houston, earning an LL.B. and J.D. in 1968. Ruff is a member of Phi Alpha Delta.

Ruff was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1968. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Courts in the Northern, Southern, and Western Districts of Texas.

Mr. Ahders has been in practice since 1968. He specializes in personal injury trial work including oilfield accidents, auto accidents, death claims, medical malpractice, and insurance disputes.

His civic affiliations include Harmony Home, Greater Opportunities of The Permian Basin, Inc., Project Head Start, and the YMCA.
